Attention Phantasm fans! We are thrilled to share some exciting news from Flashback Weekend: PHANTASM creator and director Don Coscarelli will be a special guest at their upcoming Chicago Horror Convention. This highly anticipated event will take place from August 2-4, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago.
ABOUT DON
Don Coscarelli is renowned for his groundbreaking work in horror cinema. He created and directed the classic “PHANTASM” (1979), which became a massive creative and financial success. This iconic film was followed by three sequels, all directed by Coscarelli, and he produced the fifth installment, “PHANTASM RAVAGER” (2016). His impressive filmography also includes the beloved fantasy adventure “THE BEASTMASTER” (1982), the genre-defying “JOHN DIES AT THE END,” and the cult favorite “BUBBA HO-TEP.” Notably, Flashback Weekend hosted the Midwest premiere of “BUBBA HO-TEP” (35mm print!) at their very first convention in 2002, with Bruce Campbell introducing the screening.
