Phantasm Collectable Spotlight: The Phantasm Oblivion Laserdisc

When PHANTASM:OBLIVION was released on home video after a run on the film festival circuit Phans clamored to get their hands on VHS and DVD copies.
A little known fact is that there was a laserdisc release as well! In fact it ended up being one of the last laserdiscs every produced. (the actual last laserdisc was Paramount's Bringing Out the Dead).
At the time this was one of the rare ways to watch the film digitally.
PHANTASM had already proved popular on laserdisc with the legendary autographed special edition box set that came out several years earlier.
Sadly the special features on the Oblivion laserdisc were sparse but the picture transfer was state of the art for the time.
