Exclusive: Update On Sold Out Phantasm Sphere Collection

In October 2019 the PHANTASM Sphere Collection hit Best Buy stores across North America.

This new limited-edition collection of the Phantasm films included a scale-replica of the Phantasm sphere, a new 4K scan from the original camera negative of Phantasm II, and so much more. For the first time ever, this new transfer of Don Coscarelli's director's cut included the never-before-seen X-rated sphere/gore sequence banned by the MPAA at the time of its theatrical release. Coscarelli supervised and approved this new transfer. (see full list of features below)

Best Buy very quickly sold out of all copies and it became a hot collectors item on the re-sale market.

So are we ever going to see more copies of the PHANTASM Sphere Collection? Phantasm.com got an EXCLUSIVE update from PHANTASM creator Don Coscarelli on the state of the Phantasm Sphere Collection.

“We were blown away by the enthusiasm of the PHANTASM fans!" Coscarelli said. "The set sold out so quickly that I think everyone was caught off guard. I've gotten an earful from fans who missed out. I've been in contact with our distributor Well Go USA and asked for it to be a priority to get more of these gorgeous sets made. I hope to have some very good news soon. Stay tuned!”
