Phantasm Blasts From The Past
By John Klyza - May 15th, 2011
My apologies for lack of posts - have had some access problems with the blog, as the Wordpress software it uses is quite old. Anyway here are some Phantasm archival materials courtesy of Leif Jonker: a newspaper ad for Avco Embassy’s The Fog/Phantasm double feature, and a sneak preview promotion.

What a blast indeed, two of my favorite horror movies on one bill, where is my past???
Well,John, I am not a huge fan of movies in 3D but it could actually work with Phantasm!!!

To Don Coscarelli,
I attended a convention in Louisville, Kentucky on July23 of this year and spoke to Michael Baldwin. He said that he had spoken to you and you NEVER intended to make Phantasm 5, ever, even after you are done with John Dies at the End film. Why you wrote to scripts for Phantasm 5 I’ll never know. Is it to deceive us and get our hopes for nothing or just to amuse yourself because your bored. I’m sure a whole lof us would like to know. Michael Baldwin suggested I wrote to you because he says that you read all the postings.

Phantasm is a amazingly artistic and creative scary movie, an amazing movie with a small budget to create a small work of art.
