Greetings from oblivion! We’ve pulled back from blogging in recent months in order to engineer a big project that’s going to take Phantasm Secrets into a whole new dimension. We’re plugging away on that and the end seems to be near, so keep your eyes peeled here for further details as they become availible.

I hope whatever is coming is soon!! i have faith in Coscarelli & Crew to the max, just getting anxious 2 c it done. I have also noticed the absence of the Phantasm Phamily on the horror meet & greets so i hope that means they are all too busy filming 5! i am in Jacksonville, Fl and am thinking of trying to get up a Phantasm Phan meet or something since we seem to be so few in a concentrated area. It\’s always nice to talk to other Phans that feel the obsession! Remember, It was only the wind!!

i hope to c ANYTHING new on Phantasm soon!! If the next one does make it on screen (preferably theater, but at this point i would take Phantasm the Musical on Broadway) i hope Jody is back as a good guy! good plot twist in Oblivion, but i hated to c him as a henchman 4 The Tall Man. I would like Coscarelli to ok some novels telling in between the movie happenings as well as some tales totally unrelated, that would be cool!! After all, it is an eternal battle between the guys and the Tall Man. Remember, It’s Never Over!!

Has anyone out here in Phantasm Land ever had the privilege of meeting the Phantasm Phamily? In ‘08 i met Regg, Gigi, Mike, and Angus at Fright Night Fest in Louisville, KY and i have to say they are the nicest people i have ever met in my life. I would love to complete the list with Coscarelli, Kat, and Bill. Hopefully these guys will make the rounds even if Phantasm 5 is ever made (I hope!!) or not.

No. Never had the privilege/honor of meeting them. I’m hoping to meet some of them at HorrorFind in PA this September. But now I’m hearing rumors it might be cancelled??? But it wasn’t officially announced by the HF crew.

Reality check-Phantasm 5 will NEVER be made because Coscarelli is all talk and very little action, poor Angus won’t last forever, and we will be the dumb asses who followed Don faithfully all these years and like a pimply teen geek, we will be frustrated and forever waiting for that unlikely nibble. I use to have so much faith in Don to do the right thing and end Phantasm in a good note but that will never happen. I followed every rumors, news, and every covention talks he gave and NOTHING, thanks Don-I’m still a huge fan of Phantasm, just not of Don.

awwww…poor Don. Actually I’m satisfied with all 4 philms. What I would like to see is more behind the scenes and never before seen interviews from the 80’s and 90’s. I really like the ‘79 and ‘89 interview with Angus Scrimm on the P1 x-tras.

I hope the meet is not canceled sunshine! I had lived in north Georgia and drove 8 hours to Louisville KY and it was worth every hour on the road!! Regg had his band with him and after their show i hung out with Regg and Gigi until 3am at an after concert party, it was great! Regg and the Phamily are the only peeps in Hollywood i would ever recommend meeting, let alone drive 8 hours for!! I agree with sunshine, i was very happy with with all 4 philms. i think one of the reasons for the hold up is most studios want Don to recast for another Phantasm and he won’t budge and i agree. Even one recast would ruin the whole thing in my opinion. i want 5 in a bad way, but not unless everyone is back. I hate remakes and if it comes to that, i don’t ever want to see another Phantasm. Here’s to Don and the Phamily, “keep your balls in the air” and don’t give in to the studios!!

It’s good to hear that about Reggie & Gigi. I hope I get a chance to meet them. I’m sure there will be tons of phans…I agree with you prymal. I prefer the original cast and I also don’t care too much for an animated movie.Lately they’ve been showing alot of the Phantasm philms on Chiller. Also for the first time I saw Bubba Ho-Tep a few months ago and yesterday for the first time Masters of Horror Incident on and Off a Mountain Road. I thought Scrimm was great. I’ve never seen him in any other role by the Phantasm philms. Don is full of surprises

Don\’t ya just know that i happen to own all of the above mentioned philms lol. Anyone that knows me knows that anything by Coscarelli is destined to be in my fav category so a guy i worked with at one time just walked in one day and handed me Incident because he knew i liked Coscarelli.By the by, have you ever seen Beastmaster (the 80\’s movie, not the 90\’s tv series)?? Although Don hates it, i actually think its a good movie, he was awesome at directing this one although no Phantasm member is in it.i don\’t own this one, i didn\’t realize Don directed until years after the movie came out. No, I’ve never seen Beastmaster but I wouldn’t be surprised if they show it on Chiller soon. Seems like they are showing a lot more of Coscarelli’s philms. I only recently found out about Dio’s video being directed by Don. I usually follow the actors not the writers or directors. Maybe now I should start paying attention more to Don :). Hey, by any chance are you on the Phantasm Community board? You seem to know a lot of stuff that people would be interested in.

No, i have seen Phantasm Community and it is one of those things i keep meaning to check into and join, i have just never took the time. I get to talk to other Phans so little that i actually would probably like it and i need to check it out. Most peeps have no idea what the hell i am talking about with Phantasm, but when i let someone borrow a movie they almost always like it, but liking it is still different than for us Phans. I dunno somehow Phantasm just “connects” with some of us so strongly, ya know? Very cool on here though!! “You shoot to kill or don’t shoot at all!”

You should check out PC. I’m on that forum too…I don’t know too many people personally that get into the philms as much as I do. My brother loved the philms but he passed away. He’s the one that got me into the philms. I also find more guys are into it than the girls. At least the people I talk to. There was this one guy at work that was totally into it and when worked out in the gym, the time flew talking about the philms. He moved to the west coast…That Jody line is the best line ever in Phantasm History.

I have a Phantasm shirt that has that line on the back, as a matter of fact when i met the Phamily, Mike signed that shirt for me and it now hangs under plastic covering in my closet!!Sorry about your brother, that’s cool that he passed on the love of the Philms 2u. I think the coolest thing about Phantasm is the fact that Don realized his dream of directing and writing from an “every persons” point of view. He didn’t have an unlimited budget and super star well known cast, they just “did it” and that is VERY cool!!

When i met Regg, i told him and Gigi that my fav line in the Philms (and i teared up at the fact Regg threw himself between The Tall Man and Mike), “Get behind me, i got the ‘cuda stashed a couple a miles from here and when we get to that bitch, aint nothing gonna stop us”! I had Angus sign my Tall Man action fig, “You play a good game boy” How freakin’ cool, lol! He also signed a photo with “It’s never over”! (another personal fav) I had knew that Regg and his group sang “have you seen it” at the end of Oblivion, but i highly recommend all of his music, he is very talented. “It’s a phamily thing, we’ll be in touch”

Greetings Oniloco, cool 2c Phantasm Phans from across the pond! I hope 2 meet Don one day myself, i own the Phantasm Novel his Mother wrote and he signed from this website, which i is very cool. I understand Phantasm Phans are huge in number in Germany and places. Now that i have met Reggie Bannister, one of my next goals would be for my Brother and me to have our pics took with Mike and Bill, that’d be 2 cool! “hello..and goodbye!”

i believe Don will somehow get 5 out and i trust him to bring all of the original cast back, i just think it’s hard 2 be patient for us phans. maybe these discussions here will prove just how ready all of us are to c a new Phantasm. until then, we’ll “just be sittin’ here at midnight.”

You know what? Don should hire a writer to pen Phantasms End into a novel, and release it to the world on the main site. That way, the phans can at least be able to enjoy the story and have a conclusion. Or maybe we just have to suffer that Phantasm OblIVion was the conclusion… at least to that story.

I agree Rob, that would be great! I think if 5 was to never happen, maybe Don could dust off the script and put it in novel form. I would have never thought of an e-novel, but that would make it cheaper on him and easier on phans to just download from here, props to that idea man. On that note, has anyone heard when the Bannisters book will be out? i would waaaay rather c 5, but that e-novel is a great second best (maybe a graphic novel, or live still pics inserted??}. “that tall man of yours never existed, and your brother died in a car crash.”

Anyone know any new events or happenings lately? Last years big bear horror fest was really cool. It was in mid october, perfect setting for the fest. I met some of the cast. Anyone know if they are going this year?

Dude, i haven’t heard anything, but i am over here on the east coast so i miss most of the local happenings in Cali and such. The last new project i have heard about was Regg in a bigfoot movie called primitive (?) that is coming out next year or something. Kat was touring with her music earlier this year i think, and other than that i haven’t even heard any good rumors. Mike was living down near miami here in fl and i thought i might catch a local story on him now and again, but nada so far.i talked to scarfo (Regg’s drummer) last year, his bro lives in clearwater here in fl, but even any music tour dates have been mum.”its all a dream”

For real! You would think with Phantasm having a much smaller budget than most Hollywood movies, you would think someone out there would jump on this pic. Hell, a total of 4 movies is a success by any means. I have wondered if the Syfy network would finance? It would mean a movie of the week instead of a theater release, BUT Don could work magic on one of their budgets I’m sure, maybe even a series spin off?? I recently saw the Q & A session form Fright Night Film Fest 08 in Ky and i thought that the idea to have Legros and Baldwin meet in Phantasm 5 was an awesome idea.”You think when you die you go 2 Heaven? That would be awesome if Michael and James would agree to work together. I think they both make great mike characters, part 2 is my favorite though. Ultimatlely it would be up to Don if he wanted to do 5 or if he could get the money to, and the cast was up to it.
