Gloria Lynn Henry calls Detroit home, but she currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son. Her acting career started early as she has been performing on stage since the age of eight. Ms. Henry has traveled with the international group 'Up With People', on it's European tour. After receiving her B.F.A. in theater arts at Wayne State University in Detroit, Gloria helped create a children's' theater program at Detroit's Attic theater. She has performed in Equity playhouses across the country. In addition to her acting work, Ms. Henry has also performed as lead singer in the critically acclaimed funk/rock band 'Chatter', which was originally formed by her cousin Brian Hardgroove, who has extensive music credits.

Being a student of the martial arts helped her land a starring role in PHANTASM III, for which she will forever be grateful. Just the mere mention of her involvement in this film helped her get auditions because of its rabid cult following.

Also, being the first black female hero not to die in a horror sci-fi film, is a pretty cool claim to fame that Gloria relishes. Since her appearance in PHANTASM III, Ms. Henry has worked with a diverse group of actors including Keanu Reaves, Al Pacino and Milla Jovovich. In addition to Don Coscarelli, Gloria has also been fortunate to work with such acclaimed directors as Spike Lee, Taylor Hackford and Robert Redford.

Lately, Ms. Henry's forte has been appearing in national commercials. But don't let the change of venue fool you, Gloria aka Rocky, is still ready for any action that comes her way.
